AN ACT Making appropriations for the Executive OflBce of the President, the Department of Commerce, and sundry agencies for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1962, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following sums are appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the Executive Office of the President, the Department of Commerce, and sundry agencies for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1962, namely: TITLE I EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT COMPENSATION

For expenses necessary for the White House Office, including not to exceed $215,000 for services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a), at such per diem rate^ for individuals as the President may specify, and other personal services without regard to the provisions of law regulating the employment and compensation of persons in the Government service; newspapers, periodicals, teletype news service, and travel, and official entertainment expenses of the President, to be accounted for solely on his certificate; $2,495,000.
