Armed Forces serving as members or as secretary of the Commission may be reimbursed for expenses as provided for civilian members of the Commission: Provided further, That the Commission shall reimburse other Government agencies, including the Armed Forces, for salary, pay, and allowances of personnel assigned to it. CONSTRUCTION OF MEMORIALS AND CEMETERIES

Appropriations heretofore granted under this head shall not be available for obligation after June 30, 1962. FOREIGN CLAIMS SETTLEMENT COMMISSION SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For expenses necessary to carry on the activities of the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission, including services as authorized by 60 Stat, 810. section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a); allowances and benefits similar to those provided by title IX of the Foreign 1030.^^* ^°^*" Service Act of 1946, as amended, as determined by the Commission; ^^22 USC 113 1- expenses of packing, shipping, and storing personal effects of personnel assigned abroad; rental or lease, for such periods as may be necessary, of office space and living quarters for personnel assigned abroad; maintenance, improvement, and repair of properties rented or leased abroad, and furnishing fuel, water, and utilities for such properties; insurance on official motor vehicles abroad; and advances of funds abroad; not to exceed $20,000 for expenses of travel; advances or reimbursements to other Government agencies for use of their facilities and services in carrying out the functions of the Commission; hire of motor vehicles for field use only; and employment of aliens; $625,000, and in addition $40,000 (to be merged with this appropriation) to be derived from the W a r claims fund created by section %\^^ko%^. 1^(*) of the W a r Claims Act of 1948 (50 U.S.C. The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation is hereby authorized to make such expenditures, within the limits of funds and borrowing authority available to such Corporation, and in accord with law, and to make such contracts and commitments without regard to fiscal year limitations as provided by section 104 of the Government Corporation Control Act, as amended, as may be necessary in carrying out the programs set forth in the budget for the current fiscal year for such Corporation, except as hereinafter provided: L I M I T A T I O N ON ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES, S A I N T LAWRENCE SEAWAY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

Not to exceed $425,000 shall be available for administrative expenses which shall be computed on an accrual basis, including not to exceed $2,000 for official entertainment expenses to be expended upon the approval or authority of the Administrator, purchase of one passenger motor vehicle for replacement only, and services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a), at rates for individuals not to exceed $100 per day: Provided, That not to exceed $5,000 may be expended for services of individuals employed at rates in excess of $50 per day.
