(c) AMENDMENT OF 1954 CODE.—Except as otherwise expressly provided, whenever in this Act an amendment or repeal is expressed in terms of an amendment to, or repeal of, a section or other provision, the reference shall be considered to be made to a section or other provi26 USC 1 et seq. sion of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. SEC. 2. CREDIT FOR INVESTMENT IN CERTAIN DEPRECIABLE PROPERTY. ^a) AiiLOWANCE OF CRBDIT.—Part IV of subchapter A of chapter 26 USC 31-38. 1 (relating to credits against tax) is amended by redesignating section 38 as section 39 and by inserting after section 37 the following new section: Post. pp. 967, «SEC. 38. INVESTMENT IN CERTAIN DEPRECIABLE PROPERTY. ^®** " (a) GENERAL RULE.—There shall be allowed, as a credit against the Post, p. 963. tax imposed by this chapter, the amount determined under subpart B of this part.
