For artificial revegetation, construction, and maintenance of range improvements, control of rodents, and eradication of poisonous and noxious plants on national forests in accordance with section 12 of the Act of April 24, 1950 (16 U.S.C. 580h), to be derived from grazing fees as authorized by said section, $700,000, to remain available until expended. For expenses necessary to carry out section 401 of the Agricultural Act of 1956, approved May 28, 1956 (16 U.S.C. 568e), $1,000,000, to remain available until expended. ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS, FOREST SERVICE

Passenger motor Appropriations available to the Forest Service for the current fiscal vehicles. year shall be available for: (a) purchase of not to exceed one hundred and sixty-five passenger motor vehicles, of which one hundred and thirty-seven shall be for replacement only, and hire of such vehicles; operation and maintenance of aircraft and the purchase of not to exceed three of which one shall be for replacement.only; (b) employment pursuant to the second sentence of section 706(a) of the Organic 58 Stat. 742. Act of 1944 (5 U.S.C. 574), as amended by section 15 of the Act of 60 Stat. 810. August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a), in an amount not to exceed $25,000; (c) uniforms, or allowances therefor, as authorized by the Act of 68 Stat. 1114. September 1, 1954, as amended (5 U.S.C. 2131); (d) purchase, erection, and alteration of buildings and other public improvements (5 58 Stat. 742. U.S.C. 565a); (e) expenses of the National Forest Reservation Commission as authorized by section 14 of the Act of March 1, 1911 (16 36 Stat. 963. U.S.C. 514); and (f) acquisition of land an(J interests therein for sites for administrative purposes, pursuant to the Act of August 3, 1956 70 Stat. 1034. (7 U.S.C. 428a). _ Except to provide materials required in or incident to research or experimental work where no suitable domestic product is available, no part of the funds appropriated to the Forest Service shall be expended in the purchase of twine manufactured from commodities or materials produced outside of the United States. Funds appropriated under this Act shall not be used for acquisition of forest lands under the provisions of the Act approved March 1, 1911, 36 Stat. 962. as amended (16 U.S.C. 513-519, 521), where such land is not within the boundaries of a national forest nor shall these lands or lands authorized for purchase in Sanders County, Montana, be acquired without approval of the local government concerned.
