National Cultural Center Amendments Act of 1963.

Short title.

AN ACT To:inieiKl the National Cultural (Center Act to extend the termination date contained therein, and to enlarge the Board of Trustees.

Be it emicted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Vnited States of America in Coangress assembled, That subsection (a) of section 2 of the National Cultural Center Act (72 Stat. 1698) is amended in its last clause by striking out the word "fifteen" and inserting in lieu thereof the word "thirty". SEC. 2. Subsection (b) of section 2 of the National Cultural (^enter Act (72 Stat. 1698) is amended to read as follows: " (b) The general trustees shall be appointed by the President of the United States and each such trustee shall hold office as a member of the Board for a term of ten years, except that (1) any member appointed to fill a vacancy occurring prior to the expiration of the term for which his predecessor was appointed shall be appointed for the remainder of such term, (2) the terms of any members appointed prior to the date of enactment of the National Cultural Center Amendments Act of 1963 shall expire as designated by the President at the time of appointment, and (3) the terms of the first fifteen members appointed to the Board pursuant to the amendments made by the National Cultural (^enter Amendments Act of 1963 shall expire, as designated by the President at the time of appointment, three on September 1, 1964, three on September 1, 1966, three on September 1, 1968, three on September 1, 1970, and three on September 1, 1972." SEC. 3. Subsection (a) of section 6 of the National Cultural Center Act (72 Stat. 1699) is amended in its second sentence by deleting the word "eight" and substituting in lieu thereof "twelve". SEC. 4. Subsection (a) of section 7 of the National Cultural Center Act (72 Stat. 1700) is amended by deleting the word "five" and substituting in lieu thereof the word "eight". SEC. 5. This Act may be cited as the "National Cultural Center Amendments Act of 1963". Approved August 19, 1963. Public Law 88-101

AN ACT To increase the lending authority of the Export-Import Bank of Washington, to extend the period within which the Export-Import Bank of Washington may exercise its functions, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Sevmte and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assemMed, That (a) section 2 (c)(1) of the Export-Import Bank of 1945 is amended by striking out "$1,000,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$2,000,000,000". (b) Section 7 of such Act is amended by striking out "$7,000,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$9,000,000,000". SEC. 2. Section 8 of the Export-Import Bank Act of 1945 is amended by striking out "June 30, 1963" and inserting in lieu thereof "June 30, 1968". Approved August 20, 1963.
