AN ACT For the relief of Gordon W. McGrew.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Gordon W. McGrew of Roy, Utah, is relieved of liability to the United States in the amount of $3,484.82, representing the amount of compensation received between June 26, 1960, and May 8, 1961, while employed by the Maritime Administration at the Olympia Reserve Fleet, Olympia, Washington, in violation of the Act of July 31, 1894 (5 U.S.C. 62). I n the audit and settlement of the accounts of any certifying or disbursing officer of the United States, credit shall be given for amounts for which liability is relieved by this Act. SEC. 2. The Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized and directed to pay, out ot any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the said Gordon W. McGrew an amount equal to the aggregate of the amounts paid by him, or withheld from sums otherwise due him, in complete or partial satisfaction of the liability to the United States specified in the first section of this Act. No part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to lOr received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon Qonviction thereof shall be fined m any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved October 2, 1964. AN ACT For the relief of Patrick J. Clyne. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Patrick J. Clyne, of San Francisco, California, is hereby relieved of liability to the United States in the amount of $502.40, the amount in which he was indebted to the United States by reason of an overpayment of salary as an employee of the Maritime Administration as a result of an erroneous interpretation of personnel regulations governing promotion and longevity step increases for Government employees. I n the audit and settlement of the accounts of any certifying or disbursing officer of the United States, credit shall be given for any amount foi which liability is relieved by this Act. SEC. 2. The Secretary of thie Treasury is hereby authorized and directed to pay, out or any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Patrick J.
