I.ABOR-MANAGEMENT SERVICES ADMINISTRATION, SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For necessary expenses to carry out the provisions of the Welfare and Pension Plans Disclosure Act and the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act; expenses of commissions and boards to resolve labor-management disputes and other expenses for improving the climate of labor-management relations; and to render assistance in connection with reemployment under the several provisions of law respecting reemployment after active military service, $8,580,000.

WAGE AND LABOR STANDARDS BUREAU OF L A B O R STANDARDS, SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For expenses necessary for the promotion of industrial safety, employment stabilization, and amicable industrial relations for labor and industry; performance of safety functions of the Secretary under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act, as amended (5 U.S.C. 784(c)) and the Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, as amended (72 Stat. 835); and not less than $387,000 for the work of the President's Committee on Employment of the Handicapped, as authorized by the Act of July 11, 1949 (63 Stat. 409); $3,242,500: Provided, That no part of the appropriation for the President's Committee shall be suDJect to reduction or transfer to any other department or agency under the provisions of any existing law; including purchase of reports and of material for informational exhibits.
