SEC. 2. During fiscal years 1967 through and including 1968 the Sec- housfrf'"acrives^ retary of the Department in which the Coast Guard is operating is iTrsTr^aut^horuy!' authorized to lease existing housing facilities at or near Coast Guard installations in the United States and Puerto Rico for assignment as l>ublic quarters to military personnel and their dependents, if any, without rental charge upon a determination by the Secretary, or his designee, that there is a lack of adequate housing facilities at or near such Coast Guard installations. Such housing facilities may be leased on an individual or multiple-unit basis. Expenditures for the rental of such housing facilities may not exceed the average authorized for the Department of Defense. Approved March 30, 1966.
