lection may be made notwithstanding any provision of law or rule of law which otherwise would prevent such assessment and collection. " (d) MEMBERS OF CONTROLLED (TROUP.—Under regulations prescribed by the Secretary or his delegate, if a corporation is a member of a controlled group of corporations (within the meaning of section 1563), subsections (a)(2) and (c) shall be applied by treating all members of such controlled group as one corporation. (b) The table of sections for such part VIII is amended by adding at the end thereof the following: "Sec. 250. Certain payments to the National Railroad Passenger Corporation."

Effective date.

(c) The amendments made by this section shall apply to taxable years ending after the date of the enactment of this Act. Approved October 30, 1970.

Health Training Improvement Act of 1970.

AN ACT To amend title VII of the Public Health Service Act to establish eligibility of new schools of medicine, dentistry, osteopathy, pharmacy, optometry, veterinary medicine, and podiatry for institutional grants under section 771 thereof, to extend and improve the program relating to training of personnel in the allied health professions, and for other purposes.
