TITLE II—DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE LEGAL ACTIVITIES AND GENERAL ADMINISTRATION SALARIES A N D E X P E N S E S, GENERAL

ADMINISTRATION

For expenses necessary for the administration of the Department of Justice and for examination of judicial offices, including purchase (one for replacement only) and hire of passenger motor vehicles; and miscellaneous and emergency expenses authorized or approved by the Attorney General or the Assistant Attorney General for Administration; $15,834,000, of which $2,800,000 is for the Watergate Special Prosecution Force. SALARIES A N D E X P E N S E S, GENERAL LEGAL ACTIVITIES

For expenses necessary for the legal activities of the Department of Justice, not otherwise provided for, including miscellaneous and emergency expenses authorized or api^roved by the Attorney General or the Assistant Attorney General for Administration; not to exceed $30,000 for expenses of collecting evidence, to be expended under the direction of the Attorney General and accounted for solely on his certificate; and advances of public moneys pursuant to law (31 U.S.C. 529); $50,111,000: Provided, That not to exceed $170,000 may be 6° Stat. sog. transferred to this appropriation from the "Alien Property Fund, World War II ", for the general administrative expenses of alien property activities, including rent of private or Government-owned space in the District of Columbia. SALARIES A N D E X P E N S E S, A N T I T R U S T DIVISION

For expenses necessary for the enforcement of antitrust, consumer protection and kindred laws, $13,019,000: Provided, That none of this appropriation shall be expended for the establishment and maintenance of permanent regional offices of the Antitrust Division. SALARIES A N D E X P E N S E S, UNITED STATES ATTORNEYS A N D M A R S H A L S

For necessary expenses of the offices of the United States attorneys and marshals, including purchase of firearms and ammunition; $99,300,000: Provided, That of the amount herein appropriated not to exceed $200,000 shall be available for payment of compensation and expenses of Commissioners appointed in condemnation cases under Rule 7 l A (h) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
