For " H i g h w a y beautification (liquidation of contract authorization) " for the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976, $7,500,000, to remain available until expended. H I G H W A T - E E L A T E D SAFETY GRANTS (LIQUIDATION" or AUTHORIZATION)

CONTRACT

For payment of obligations incurred in carrying out the provisions of title 23, United States Code, section 402, administered by the Federal H i g h w a y Administration, to remain available until expended, $15,000,000, of which $11,700,000 shall be derived from the H i g h w a y T r u s t F u n d: Provided, That not to exceed $533,100 of the amount appropriated herein shall be available for "Limitation on general operating expenses". For "Highway-related safety g r a n t s (liquidation of contract authorization) " for the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976, to be derived from the H i g h w a y T r u s t F u n d, $3,000,000, to remain available until expended: Provided, That not to exceed $130,000 of the amount appropriated herein shall be available for "Limitation on general operating expenses." CROSSINGS DEMONSTRATION

PROJECTS

(INCLUDING TRANSFER OF FUNDS)

For necessary expenses of railroad-highway crossings demonstration projects, as authorized by section 163 of the Federal-Aid H i g h w a y Act of 1973 and Title ITI of the National Mass Transportation Assistance Act of 1974, to remain available until expended, $15,220,000, to be derived by transfer from amounts available for obligation under sections 203 and 230 of the H i g h w a y Safety Act of 1973, together with $1,400,000, of which $933,333 shall be derived from the H i g h w a y T r u s t F u n d.

For payment of obligations incurred in carrying out the provisions of title 23, United States Code, sections 215, 402, and 405, $4,000,000, to remain available until expended. For "Territorial highways (liquidation of contract authorization) " for the period July 1, 197*6, through September 30, 1976, $1,000,000, to remain available until expended. DARIEN G A P HIGHWAY

For necessary expenses for construction of the Darien G a p Highway in accordance with the provisions of section 216 of title 23 of the United States Code, $4,900,000, including the purchase of not to exceed two passenger motor vehicles, to remain available until expended.
