Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives efthe United States of America in Congress assembled, '1`hat the following Appropriation. sums be, and the same are hereby, appropriated for the support of the army for the year ending on the thirtreth June, eighteen hundred and forty-seven: _ b Pay. For pay of the army, one mrlhon three hundred and twenty-nine thousand three hundred and seventy-four dollars. Officers' sub- For commutation of officers’ subsistence, four hundred and sixty- °lS'·°”°°· five thousand eight hundred and thirty-two dollars. Forage. For commutation of forage for officers’ horses, including arrears since commencement of hostilities, one hundred and thirty-one thousand sie; hundred and three dollars.
