FOREIGN CLAIMS SETTLEMENT COMMISSION SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For expenses necessary to carry on the activities of the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission, including services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109; allowances and benefits similar to those provided by title IX of the Foreign Service Act of 1946, as amended, as determined 22 USC 1131. by the Commission; expenses of packing, shipping, and storing personal effects of personnel assigned abroad; rental or lease, for such periods as may be necessary, of office space and living quarters for personnel assigned abroad; maintenance, improvement, and repair of properties rented or leased abroad, and furnishing fuel, water, and utilities for such properties; insurance on official motor vehicles , \ - s.^ >; abroad; advances of funds abroad; advances or reimbursements to other Government agencies for use of their facilities and services in carrying out the functions of the Commission; hire of motor vehicles for field use only; and employment of aliens; $650,000. INTERNATIONAL TRADE COMMISSION SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For necessary expenses of the International Trade Commission, not to exceed $220,000 for expenses of travel, hire of passenger motor vehicles, and services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109, $11,350,000: Provided, That no part of this appropriation shall be used to pay the salary of any member of the International Trade Commission who shall hereafter participate in any proceedings under sections 336, 337, and 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930, wherein he or any member of his 19 USC 1336, family has any special, direct, and pecuniary interest, or in which he 1337, 1338. has acted as attorney or special representative: Provided further, That no part of the foregoing appropriation shall be used for making any special study, investigation, or report at the request of any other agency of the executive branch of the Government unless reimbursement is made for the cost thereof. LEGAL SERVICES CORPORATION PAYMENT TO THE LEGAL SERVICES CORPORATION

To enable the Department of the Treasury to make payment to the Legal Services Corporation to carry out the purposes of the Legal Services Corporation Act of 1974 (P.L. 93-355), $125,000,000. 42 USC 2996 note. M A R I N E MAMMAL COMMISSION SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For necessary expenses of the Marine Mammal Commission to carry out the provisions of title II of the Act of October 21, 1972 (Public Law 92-522), establishing the Marine Mammal Commission, 16 USC 1401. $1,000,000.
