PUBLIC LAW 96-12—MAY 23, 1979 service of the same. Witnesses summoned before the Commission, or its members, agent, or agency, shall be paid the same fees and mileage that are paid witnesses in the courts of the United States, and witnesses whose depositions are taken and the individuals taking the same shall severally be entitled to the same fees as are paid for like services in the courts of the United States. (e) No person shall be excused from attending and testifying or from producing books, records, correspondence, documents, or other evidence in obedience to a subpena or order on the ground that the testimony or evidence required of him may tend to incriminate him or subject him to a penalty or forfeiture. The Commission may, with the approval of the Attorney General, issue an order requiring the person to give testimony or provide other information which he refuses to give or provide on the basis of his privilege against selfincrimination in the same manner and subject to the same restrictions as a government agency may issue such an order pursuant to section 6004 of title 18, United States Code. (f) All process of any court to which application may be made under this joint resolution may be served in the judicial district wherein the perscHi required to be served resides or may be found.
