Public Law 97-370 97th Congress An Act Making appropriations for Agriculture, Rural Development, and Related Agencies programs for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1983, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following sums are appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for Agriculture, Rural Development, and Related Agencies programs for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1983, and for other purposes; namely:

Dec. 18, 1982 [H.R. 7072] Agriculture, rural development, and related agencies appropriations, fiscal year 1983.

TITLE I—AGRICULTURAL PROGRAMS PRODUCTION, PROCESSING AND MARKETING OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY

For necessary expenses of the Office of the Secretary of Agriculture, including not to exceed $75,000 for employment under 5 U.S.C. 3109, $3,884,000: Provided, That not to exceed $8,000 of this amount shall be available for official reception and representation expenses, not otherwise provided for, as determined by the Secretary. STANDARD LEVEL USER CHARGES ( U S D A)

For payment of standard level user charges pursuant to Public Law 92-313 for programs and activities of the Department of Agriculture which are included in this Act, $56,377,000. ADVISORY COMMITTEES

(USDA)

For necessary expenses for activities of Advisory Committees of the Department of Agriculture which are included in this Act, $1,398,000: Provided, That no other funds in this Act shall be available to the Department of Agriculture for support of activities of Advisory Committees. DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATION

For Budget and Program Analysis, and Public Participation, $3,529,000; for Energy, $185,000; for Operations and Finance, Personnel, Regulatory Hearings, Equal Opportunity, Safety and Health Management, and Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, $9,452,000; making a total of $13,166,000 for Departmental Administration to provide for necessary expenses for management support services to offices of the Department of Agriculture and for general administration of the Department of Agriculture, repairs and alterations, and other miscellaneous supplies and expenses not otherwise provided for and necessary for the practical and efficient work of the Department of Agriculture, of which not to exceed $10,000 is for
