The total commitments to guarantee new loans pursuant to sec45 USC 831-833. tions 511 through 513 of the Railroad Revitalization and Regulatory Reform Act of 1976 (Public Law 94-210), as amended, shall not exceed $2,500,000 of contingent liabilities for loan principal during fiscal year 1985: Provided, That the Secretary of Transportation is authorized to issue to the Secretary of the Treasury notes or other obligations pursuant to section 512 of the Railroad Revitalization 45 USC 832. and Regulatory Reform Act of 1976 (Public Law 94-210), as amended, in such amounts and at such times as may be necessary to pay any amounts required pursuant to the guarantee of the principal amount of obligations under sections 511 through 513 of such Act, such authority to exist as long as any such guaranteed obligation is outstanding: Provided further. That the aggregate amount of such notes or other obligations during fiscal year 1985 shall not exceed $100,000,000. REDEEMABLE PREFERENCE SHARES
