Providing for appointment of Barnabas McHenry as a citizen regent of the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, in accordance with section 5581 of the Revised Statutes of the United States (20 U.S.C. 43), the vacancy in the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution, of the class other than Members of Congress, caused by the death of William A.M. Burden of New York on October 10, 1984, is filled by the appointment of Barnabas McHenry of New York. The appointment is for a term of six years and shall take effect on the date on which this joint resolution becomes law. Approved July 22, 1985.
