The limitation otherwise applicable to the maximum payments that may be required in any fiscal year by all contracts entered into under section 236 of the National Housing Act (12 U.S.C. 1715z-l), is further reduced in fiscal year 1985 by not more than $23,367,000 in uncommitted balances of authorizations provided for this purpose in appropriation Acts. PAYMENTS FOR OPERATION OF LOW-INCOME HOUSING PROJECTS
Any balances of appropriations under this heading in the Department of Housing and Urban Development-Independent Agencies Appropriation Act, 1985 (Public Law 98-371) shall, notwithstanding 98 Stat. 1213. the provisions of section 9(d) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1437g), remain available for obligation for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1986, and shall be used by the Secretary for fiscal year 1986 requirements in accordance with section 9(a) of such Act, as amended. URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACTION GRANTS
Language under this heading in the Department of Housing and Urban Development-Independent Agencies Appropriation Act, 1985 (Public Law 98-371), is amended by striking out the first colon and 98 Stat. 1219. all that follows and inserting in lieu thereof a period. MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION SALARIES AND EXPENSES (TRANSFER OF FUNDS)
For an additional amount for "Salaries and expenses", $4,000,000, to be derived by transfer from the various funds of the Federal Housing Administration. (RESCISSION)
