T Jennings, Chief Engineer, of the Harbour Work at Toronto, 1889: appointed as Engineer in charge of roadways and pavements for the City of Toronto with Special. Charge of the Construction of 80 miles of Electric Tramway lines and conversion of horse car service to au electric service, 1890; left the post, on completion of this work, Feb.. 1893; after that, acted as Engineer to the contractors for the construction of the Manitoba and Lake Dauphin Railway (105 miles); this work being completed, left Canada for England, and was appointed Commissioner of Public Works and Surveys by His Highness the Rajah of Sarawak, 1899.
