This system is used in Mikrotik (called Winbox), Apple (called Airport Utility), Motorola (called Canopy), many old APs. Advantages: usually powerful and appealing interfaces; allow batch configuration of multiple devices. Disadvantages: proprietary solutions; usually available for only one operating system; software must be installed before starting configuration. Mikrotik Winbox, shown below, is a very powerful solution and can manage large networks.
