Louis Julius Freudenberg (1894–1918) was an American World War I casualty. He served as a private in Company M, 309th Infantry, 78th Division of the United States Army. He was killed-in-action during World War I in the Battle of Montfaucon during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. This was 26 days before the Armistice with Germany. Louis was 24 years old. (b. Saturday, August 4, 1894; 220 Madison Street, Hoboken, Hudson County, New Jersey, USA - d. Wednesday, October 16, 1918, during World War I; Battle of Montfaucon, Meuse-Argonne Offensive, Argonne, France) Some of his papers are archived at the NJ State Archives.
