RICHARD JOHN LEWIN, Esq.
[Commander.]

Was made a lieutenant on the 27th Dec. 1808; appointed to the Minerva frigate, Captain Richard Hawkins, Oct. 30th, 1812; and promoted to the command of the Electra sloop, while serving as first of the North Star 20, Captain Thomas Coe, Nov. 4th, 1814.

He married, in Sept. 1825, Jane, relict of the late W. Plumer, Esq. M.P.; and died, at Plymouth, May 22d, 1827.
