The cropping of the images[edit]

@Finavon: cropped the maps in August 2011. Was it warranted? And is it still even if it was at the time? Even back then, I was unsure. But now, with with the new UI that was added in the middle of this decade, a user can enlarge the image and scroll from one to the next, while the pseudotitle (thumb) in the bottom of the screen only says "1st" or "15" - completely unhelpful. Is there a reason to have the images cropped? Either way, I am changing the thumbs to the full date format (British version, as per the original).--Adûnâi (talk) 22:27, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am no expert on WikiSource and have no idea what an "UI" is. This is my sole edit! I edited the images in Commons to remove language-specific text, which I would usually place in the file infobox so that translations could be added. With this series, it seemed better to place the text in this WikiSource page. If this is not local style, please amend. Finavon (talk) 15:53, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
