I should be noted somewhere that this is Wirt's version of the speech he published in 1817. There are other versions of what Henry said. 71.146.173.89 18:53, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

One minor error[edit]

The 2nd "deceive ourselves" phrase should have the word "longer", i.e. "deceive ourselves longer", according to http://docsouth.unc.edu/southlit/wirt/wirt.html.

This is not an issue of there being different versions of the speech in print. The referenced source is supposedly the source of this version. unsigned comment by 70.157.107.91 (talk) 20:57, 17 September 2008.

Hi, any chance you can help me find that in here: Index:Sketches of the life and character of Patrick Henry.djvu. Which page is it on? --John Vandenberg (chat) 14:10, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I found it here and fixed it. Thank you for pointing this out. John Vandenberg (chat) 09:46, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
