The translator may be Edgar Hugh Leoni (1925-1995), but this remains to be verified. Eclecticology 06:55, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Leoni in public domain?[edit]

If this is from Edgar Leoni's 1961 book, how is it permitted to be reproduced here? Tuckerresearch (talk) 23:19, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is no evidence of copyright renewal, which would mean the copyright has lapsed. --EncycloPetey (talk) 18:31, 19 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

NOT original text[edit]

A translation, however excellent, adds and removes from the source. This is useless, we need the Renaissance original.

Centuries VI and VII are identical on the page

Original Facsimiles[edit]

Archived link of oceanru.com Original Facsimiles (see Source section in the article) has no of the facsimiles preserved on web.archive.org beside the title pages.

I have checked Hathitrust for scans but oldest I could find there is an 1866 version that claims to be copy of 1611 edition as far as I can understand:

L'édition que nous donnons aujourd'hui des prophéties de Nostradamus est la copie de celle publiée en 1611 par Pierre Chevillot, Timprimeur ordinaire du Roi ; elle passe pour une des plus complètes.

Should we put link to this scan into the source part?

Would anybody be able to find those version that used to be on oceanru.com 1555 Vienne 92 p., 1557 Utrecht 124 p., 1568 Rigaud 202 p. (maybe by reverse-searching of the few images that were archived or checking if facsimiles are better preserved on other web-archiving sites) or something of a similar age? I was unable to find anything by myself. Yaqub Kabanoki (talk) 22:48, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have found what seem to be 1555 Vienne 92 p on some really random website http://www.propheties.it/1555-002%20Nostradamus,Les%20Propheties,%20Vienne/slides/1555-002-001.htm . I'm unable to verify if its either genuine or complete but there is written Last update: 18/01/09 22:28 in the main section http://www.propheties.it/booksfrom1500to1567.htm (which might be listing also other Les Propheties version) so maybe its just copy of Facsimiles from oceanru.com as it was still online back then.
