Where does this text come from????? The display is awful. The version of line 46, while found in many editions, is far from universally accepted: see the discussion in Robinson's introduction to the Wife of Bath's Prologue on CD-ROM, available at the Canterbury Tales Project site.
- Replaced what was here (which was only the prologue) by Prologue and Tale from the edition of Rev. Walter W. Skeat, Oxford, 1900 (in preparation for Project Gutenberg). The Prologue is broadly similar, including the line 46 mentioned above.--Laverock ( Talk ) 15:37, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
