Level of progress: Complete 50%.svg
Notes: A more commonly cited abridged version (the first four stanzas only) was anthologized in "Best Loved Poems of the American People", Hazel Felleman, ed. (Garden City Publishing Co., Garden City NY: 1936, pp. 613-614)

This abridged version (with the incorrect title) seems first to have been printed in The Monthly Evening Sky Map, October 1920.

I have loved the stars too truly[edit]

See p. 69 of [1], published in 1868 which is the source of this copy.

The line there is published as "I have loved the stars too truly to be fearful of the night." --EncycloPetey (talk) 19:21, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
