This is the template sandbox page for Template:Dent (diff).

This template uses block elements, e.g. <div> or <p>.
It should not be nested inside an inline element, e.g. <span>, or a template that produces such an element.

This is a flexible, general template for handling margin and indentation settings. The first argument sets the left margin; the second, the text-indent; the third, the text. All are mandatory.

{{dent}} is a block template; the inline version is {{dent inline}} (shortcut {{dent/i}}).

Normal indentation (you can use {{text-indent}} for this)

Hanging indentation (you can use {{hanging indent}} for this)

Hanging indent with a margin shift (this general template is the simplest tool in this case)
