ȝ(represented a z or Z in some older printing). The symbols used here represents a yogh sound present in Scots, which should be pronounced 'y'. In some earlier printing this was rendered as z or Z as the modern form was not present in the typical typefaces used. This representation carried over into later printings, and transcriptions.
