Add topicIs the "defaultsort" parameter still included?
[edit]Noticed that an optional "defaultsort" parameter was mentioned in "View History;" is this still included in the template? It's not in the documentation.

Suggestions
[edit]Based on issues with link clutter on mainspace articles, as outlined in my recent Scriptorium post, it seems like the parameters wikipedia, wikipedia2, and other_projects may be unnecessary. Disambiguation pages can link out to the EB11 article, which is mainly what other_projects is used for, and the "sister projects" field (on the right side of the header) automatically populates with Wikipedia links (I think it's a Wikidata thing). With this in mind, my suggestions are:
- remove the functionality of
wikipedia,wikipedia2, andother_projects- ideally it would not throw an exception if content is still in the parameters since it's a big undertaking to remove every instance of them
- add an optional parameter
disambig- this would accept the title of the disambiguation page,
disambig = Foo, and place the disambiguation page link template,{{similar|Foo}}, at the top of the page.
- this would accept the title of the disambiguation page,
As a side note, I'd just like to mention that this is not criticism of having added these parameters in the first place! Everybody who contributed to this template is very talented, and the time and effort spent in developing this template is much appreciated! I'm only making these suggestions for feature removal because it would be the most effective way to eliminate redundant links. Please let me know if these changes are acceptable, and if anybody would be interested in implementing them (I have not learned how to do this stuff yet).
