? gets categorized as Ancient[edit]

A quick glance at Category:? deaths shows a bunch of folks with names that don't sound so old, but that's where this template puts em. Prosody (talk) 02:35, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The default value for unknown input is 'ancient'. It should indicate that it doesn't know instead; maybe 'unknown'? —Pathoschild 22:49:54, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
Sounds good. Ideally I would think it best if it just ignored the unknown era if it had the other of the two dates, but I guess that would involve modifying the author template too. And if the unknown era cat is hidden (being basically a maintenance cat) it ends up being the same more or less. Prosody (talk) 21:09, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
