SCHULZ, shoolts, Leo, American musician: b. Posen, Germany, 28 March 1865. He was educated at Posen, and in the Royal Academic High School of Music in Berlin, came to the United States in 1889, was professor of the New England Conservatory until 1898, was connected with the New York Philharmonic Society in 1890-1906. He published ‘'Cello Album,’ ‘'Cello Classics’ and ‘'Cello Compositions’ (two books each), and author of many unpublished 'cello compositions, songs, orchestral overtures, cantatas, etc.
