Nicholas Arbuthnot, d. of late William Allardyce of Aberdeen; transferred to the Punjab Police as Assistant Superintendent; became Superintendent, 1863; transferred to Berar, 1865; Inspector General of Police, Hyderabad Assigned Districts; 1877; Deputy Commissioner, 1895; retired, 1896.
