Partabgarh, Raja of; Hon’ble Partab Bahadur Singh, C.I.E.; is a Somibansi Rajput and is closely related to the Nagpur branch of the Partabgarh family; b. 1866; educ: Town School, Partabgarh; succeeded to estate, 1889; has founded two schools and two dispensaries; changed the name of his estate to Kila Partabgarh, 1889; established a number of Co-operative societies for the benefit of his tenants; married five times; one of his wives, “Bari Rani” is a poetess and an accomplished scholar.
