Srinivasa Iyengar, C., Rajamanthrapravina. (1904); Diwan Bahadur (1914) 1st Member of Council, Mysore (Rtd.); M.L.C, Mysore, since July 1913; b. 1850; educ: at Bangalore; entered service at an early age; served in the Postal department, and in the Offices of the Chief Commissioner and the Judicial Commissioner; qualified himself for the profession of Law; resigned service and enrolled himself as a Pleader, 1871; appointed as District Munsiff of Chinthamani, Kolar District, 1873; rendered valuable service in the famine of 1876-78; earned the approbation of the Famine Commissioner as well as the thanks of the Government of India; transferred to Chitaldroog, 1879, in charge of the District Treasury, the Jail, and the Subordinate Judge’s Court; transferred to Mysore where he acted as District Munsiff, Assistant Commissioner, Sub-Judge, District and Sessions Judge till 1893; on special duty in connection with Viceregal visit to Mysore, 1892; appointed Deputy Commissioner, 1892; Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, Chitaldroog, 1896; Revenue Secretary to Government, 1895; Secretary to Government, (Revenue and General Departments), 1896; 2nd Member, Council of Regency, 1901; Senior Member of Council, 1904; title of Raja manthra pravina conferred by H.H. the Maharaja of Mysore, October 1904; retired. 1906; is connected with several important public Institutions.
