XXII. TO VESTA.
O Vesta, who tendest the sacred dwelling of the far-darting king, Apollo, at divine Delphi, ever does the fluid oil stream down from thy locks.[1] †Come to this dwelling, come, having thy mind,† with counselling Jove, and also grant grace to my song.
