- The Brotherhood of the Seven Kings, by L. T. Meade and Robert Eustace.
- Miss Cayley's Adventures, by Grant Allen.
- The Round the Fire stories, by A. Conan Doyle.
Other things to note:
- From Behind the Speaker's Chair, the series of Parliamentary Sketches by Henry W. Lucy, appears often throughout the year.
