O'BRIEN, Christopher Michael, M.D. (T.C.D.). L.R.C.P.: Hon. Physician to the City Hospital for Diseases of the Skin and Cancer, Dublin, of which institution he was the founder; first Examiner in Pathology for the Medical Qualification L.A.H.I. under the newly-constituted examining board, appointment approved by General Medical Council: Member Correspondent of Dermatological Society, France; Fellow of the Medical Society, London, and Royal Academy of Medicine, Ireland. Educ.: Summerhill College, Athlone; Trinity College, Dublin; Middlesex Hospital, London: Berlin and Paris; studied at Berlin under Professor Lesser, and at Copenhagen under Professor Finsen; was the first in Ireland to introduce into hospital work the Light Treatment for the cure of Lupus and Cancer.
