Dr. Ross, D.D., of Londonderry. Educ. at Trinity College, Dublin (first classical scholar, 1876: LL.B., 1879); LL.D. (Hon.), 1914; Knight of Grace of the Grand Priory of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, 1914; called to the Irish Bar in 1880; Q.C., 1891; Bencher King's Inns, 1893; a Commissioner of Charitable Donations and Bequests (1898); a Commissioner of National Education in Ireland, 1905; M.P. for Londonderry City, 1892-5; b. 1854; m. 1882, Katherine, dau. of Lieut.-Col. Deane Mann, D.L., of Dunmoyle, Co. Tyrone, and has issue one son and one dau. Res.: Whitehall Court, London, S.W,; Dunmoyle, Sixmilecross, Co. Tyrone.
