7 Ac þā heofonas þe nū sind, and sēo eorðe, þurh ilce ƿord hafaþ geƿorden gehordod oþ fȳr, ƿesende healden oþ þone dæg dōmes and cƿealmes mānfullra manna.

8 Ac ne forgietaþ þis ān þing, lēofas, þæt ān dæg is þǣm Dryhtne sƿā þūsend geara, ond þūsend gēara is sƿā ān dæg.

9 Se Dryhten nis slāƿ ymb his hāt, sƿā sume tellaþ slǣƿþe; ac is ūs geþyldig, neillende þæt nān nō cƿelle, ac þæt ealle cumen tō behrēoƿsienne.

10 Ac se dæg þæs Dryhtnes sceal cuman sƿā sƿā þēof on nihte; ond on þǣm þā heofonas sculon acƿelan on grēatum sƿēge, and þā gesceaft bēoþ molten on þearlum hāte, and sēo eorðe and þā ƿeorc þā sind on hire bēoþ forbærned.

11 Þæs for þȳ þe eall þās þing bēoþ forcƿeled þus, hƿelc gecynd lēoda scodldon gē ƿesan on hālgum līfe and ƿilsumnesse,

12 sēcende and georne giernende þone cumendan dæg Godes, þe nȳdeþ þā bernendan heofonas tō meltenne, and þā gesceaft sculon meltan mid þǣm þearlan hāte?

13 Ac, æfter his hāte, ƿē sēcaþ nīƿe heofonas and nīƿe eorðan, on þǣm þe rihtƿīsness abītt.

14 Þæs, lēofas, for þȳ gē sēcaþ þās, ƿesaþ georne tō ƿesnne gefunden on friðe, lēas ƿammes ond gyltlēas on His sihþe.

15 Be þǣm þolemōde ūres Dryhtnes tō hǣlo; sƿā sƿā ūre lēofa brōðor Paulus ēac ƿrāþ ēoƿ, æfter þǣm ƿīsdōm þe ƿæs him gifen;

16 sƿā ēac on eallum his ǣrendgeƿritum, sprecende on him þisra. On him, þǣr sind sumu þing þā sind earfoþ tō understondenne, þā þā dƿǣsan and ungeþingedan gebīgaþ, sƿā hīe dōþ on ōðrum Geƿritum, tō heora āgnan cƿealme.

17 Þæs gē lēofas, cnāƿende þās ǣr, ƿariaþ, þȳ læs þe gānde mid þǣm ƿōge þāra yfelena, ge feallen on ēoƿere staðolfæstnesse.

18 Ac ƿeaxaþ on þǣre āre and andgiete ūres Dryhtnes ond Hǣlendes Iesus Crīstes. Him sīe se þrym ge nū ge ā. Sōþlīce.
