สมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวอานันทมหิดล มีพระบรมราชโองการโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้ประกาศว่า

Somdet Phra Chaoyuhua Ananda Mahidol has issued with his pleasure a great royal command that it be proclaimed as follows:

โดยที่เป็นการสมควรคืนฐานะเดิมแก่ข้าราชการพลเรือน ทหาร หรือตำรวจซึ่งกระทำการต่อต้านการดำเนินการสงครามของญี่ปุ่น อันเป็นนิรโทษกรรมตามพระราชบัญญัตินิรโทษกรรมแก่ผู้กระทำการต่อต้านการดำเนินการสงครามของญี่ปุ่น พุทธศักราช ๒๔๘๙

Whereas it is appropriate to return former status to the civil, military, or police public servants who acted against the conduct of warfare by Japan, for their acts are unpunishable according to the Act Granting Amnesty to Those Who Acted Against the Conduct of Warfare by Japan, 2489 Buddhist Era;

จึงทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้ตราพระราชบัญญัติขึ้นไว้ โดยคำแนะนำและยินยอมของสภาผู้แทนราษฎร ดังต่อไปนี้

Therefore, he is graciously pleased to allow, by and with the advice and consent of the House of Representatives, the enactment of the following Act:

มาตรา⁠๑⁠พระราชบัญญัตินี้ให้เรียกว่า "พระราชบัญญัติคืนฐานะเดิมแก่ข้าราชการพลเรือน ทหาร หรือตำรวจ ซึ่งกระทำการต่อต้านการดำเนินการสงครามของญี่ปุ่น พุทธศักราช ๒๔๘๙"

Section⁠1.⁠This Act shall be called the "Act Returning Former Status to Civil, Military, or Police Public Servants Who Acted Against the Conduct of Warfare by Japan, 2489 Buddhist Era".

มาตรา⁠๒⁠พระราชบัญญัตินี้ให้ใช้บังคับได้ตั้งแต่วันประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษาเป็นต้นไป

Section⁠2.⁠This Act shall become applicable as from the day of its publication in the Government Gazette onwards.

มาตรา⁠๓⁠ข้าราชการพลเรือน ทหาร หรือตำรวจ ซึ่งกระทำการต่อต้านการดำเนินการสงครามของญี่ปุ่น หรือดำเนินงานเพื่อการนั้น อันเป็นนิรโทษกรรมตามพระราชพระราชบัญญัตินิรโทษกรรมแก่ผู้กระทำการต่อต้านการดำเนินการสงครามของญี่ปุ่น พุทธศักราช ๒๔๘๙ ถ้าได้ลาออกจากราชการก็ดี หรือถูกปลดออกจากราชการก็ดี ให้กระทรวงเจ้าสังกัดรับบรรจุกลับเข้าเป็นข้าราชการในตำแหน่งเดิม ในเมื่อมีตำแหน่งว่าง

Section⁠3.⁠Civil, military, or police public servants who acted against the conduct of warfare by Japan or carried out work for such purpose, if having resigned from public service or having been dismissed from public service, shall be reinstated by their superior ministries as public servants in their former positions whenever the positions become vacant, for their acts are unpunishable according to the Act Granting Amnesty to Those Who Acted Against the Conduct of Warfare by Japan, 2489 Buddhist Era.

ถ้าจะรับบรรจุกลับเข้าเป็นข้าราชการในตำแหน่งเดิมไม่ได้ ก็ให้บรรจุในตำแหน่ง ชั้น และอันดับอันไม่ต่ำกว่าที่ข้าราชการผู้นั้นเคยได้อยู่เดิม

If reinstating them as public servants in their former positions is not possible, the public servants shall be instated in the positions, classes, and levels not lower than those they formerly had.

มาตรา⁠๔⁠ให้กระทรวงเจ้าสังกัดสอบสวนให้ได้ความชัดก่อนว่า ข้าราชการที่ได้ลาออกหรือถูกปลดออกนั้นได้ลาออกหรือถูกปลดออกเพราะไปทำการต่อต้านการดำเนินการสงครามของญี่ปุ่นหรือดำเนินงานเพื่อการนั้นจริง แม้เหตุผลในใบลาหรือการปลดจะเป็นอย่างอื่นก็ตาม แล้วจึงรับบรรจุกลับเข้าประจำการตามความในมาตรา ๓

Section⁠4.⁠Before granting the reinstatement according to the text of section 3, the superior ministries shall conduct prior inquiry until it is certain that the public servants who have resigned or have been dismissed have actually resigned or been dismissed on account of having acted against the conduct of warfare by Japan or having carried out work for such purpose, even though their letters of resignation or dismissal contain different reasons.

มาตรา⁠๕⁠ข้าราชการพลเรือน ทหาร หรือตำรวจซึ่งได้รับบรรจุกลับเข้าประจำการตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้ ให้ถือว่า มีวันราชการติดต่อกัน คือ เวลาก่อนวันที่ลาออกหรือถูกปลดออก กับวันที่ได้กลับเข้ารับราชการนั้น ให้นับสำหรับคำนวณเบี้ยหวัดหรือบำเหน็จบำนาญด้วย

Section⁠5.⁠The civil, military, or police public servants who have been reinstated to regular service in accordance with this Act shall be deemed to have consecutive days in public service, that is, the period [of service] prior to the day of resignation or dismissal and the day of return to public service shall also be counted for the calculation of biawat or bamnet [and] bamnan.[1]

มาตรา⁠๖⁠ให้นายกรัฐมนตรีรักษาการตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้

Section⁠6.⁠The Prime Minister shall be in charge of this Act.

1. Generally, the three terms biawat (Thai: เบี้ยหวัด), bamnet (Thai: บำเหน็จ), and bamnan (Thai: บำนาญ) are translated the same, as "pension". Samnak-ngan Ratchabandittayasapha (2013) defines them as follows:
   1. Biawat: remuneration given to a retired military officer in consideration of his or her (past) services, paid monthly.
   2. Bamnet: remuneration given to a public servant in consideration of his or her services, paid at one time upon his or her retirement.
   3. Bamnan: remuneration given to a public servant in consideration of his or her services, paid monthly after his or her retirement.
