Enacted on the 7th day of March 2481 Buddhist Era
Being the 5th year of the present reign

Whereas the House of Representatives has resolved that it is appropriate to amend the Additional Royal Ordinance on Establishment of Family Names, 2465 Buddhist Era;

Therefore, by and with the advice and consent of the House of Representatives, a Great Royal Command is given for enactment of the following Act:

Section1.This Act shall be called the Establishment of Family Names Act (No 2), 2481 Buddhist Era.

Section2.This Act shall enter into operation from the date of its publication in the Royal Gazette onwards.

Section3.The dispositions of section 4 of the Additional Royal Ordinance on Establishment of Family Names, 2465 Buddhist Era, shall be repealed.

Section4.Fees shall be demanded from the persons who apply for change to a new family name according to the rate to be designated in a ministerial statute, not exceeding ten baht each.

Section5.The Minister of Interior shall have the duty to ensure implementation of this Act and shall have the power to issue ministerial statutes designating fees and other matters for the execution of this Act.

Those ministerial statutes shall enter into operation upon publication in the Royal Gazette.
