Starting this translation[edit]

The Catalogue of Women is an important work for the study of Greek poetry and mythology, but unfortunately most of the evidence for its content and nature has been discovered and interpreted over the past 50 years, so there are no accurate translations in the public domain. The only up-to-date translation at all was actually published in 2007, so there won't be any PD text for a while. So, I'm translating the Greek edition of record.
