To be added

To whom do I give this new elegant little book
recently polished with dry pumice?
O Cornelus for you: and now you were accustomed
to think the my nothings were something
now then, when you, one of the Italians, dared 5
to explain all history in three volumes
learned, O Jupiter, and laborious.
Therefore take for yourself whatever and whatever
this book; which O patron maiden
let it remain eternal for more than one age. 10
