I thought a list of people in the 1904 errata might be useful: one approach to the coordination issue might be to proof from the 1885-1900 edition and add a category to those on this list to show that they were subsequently changed. (My instincts agree with arch dude - seeing sources as proofed to a particular published text - than with those who want the information provided in the source to be as good as is publicly domainly possible.)

If pages like this are useful, where should they moved to?

Interesting cases from vol 1[edit]

There are some trivial variations in name form between the ToC and that in the 1904 errata, e.g.:

errata list has name as 'Acland, John D.'
similarly
in errata ToC but in vol1 ToC as Ælfric, called Puttoc
vol 1 ToC has Andrews, but errata list has Andrewes
errata list calls her Anne, Queen of Richard III

Sometimes disambiguating dates are left off the errata list, which means recourse to the biography is needed to check which is intended:

which referred to in errata list?
The first (by checking text)
which meant in errata list?

More interestingly,

the erratum is in the form of name: 'after ALEXANDER insert LORD ABERCROMBY'
in errata ToC but not in our ToC to vol 1
here the erratum again affects the name form, from (d. 1563) to d. 1564)
in errata ToC but not in our ToC to vol 1
