I entered a couple of pages for an English translation of "Index:Peregrinaggio di tre giovani figliuoli del re di Serendippo.djvu" Perhaps, you can take a peek and let me know that I am following the recommended procedure correctly.

Hi! It looks good so far, very nice. Most of the pages can be marked as Proofread once you are happy with the translation. The title page will have to be Problematic until the image is extracted, but I can help with that.
I think it's good to "de-italicise" the text since the whole thing is simply set in italic (as things were in 16th century Venice) rather than emphasised, but words that were upright in the original should probably then become italic. For example, names like "Noah".

@Inductiveload: We discussed some time ago an English translation on Wikisource of a 16th Century Italian fairytale collection: https://it.wikisource.org/wiki/Pagina:Peregrinaggio_di_tre_giovani_figliuoli_del_re_di_Serendippo.djvu/ The translation was uploaded to Wikisource, proofread and is currently awaiting validation: https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Translation:The_Three_Princes_of_Serendip Meanwhile, a Dutch translation has been completed as well, ready to be uploaded, beside the original Italian with left pages blanc. Note that the transclusion of the original Italian in modern orthographics was recently fully validated. Please, let me know if you can create a source text of the manuscript to which I can upload the Dutch translation. When the transclusion to Dutch has been completed we'll be able to follow the same route to the final manuscript as for the English translation. I'm looking forward to your guidance. I'm afraid I'm not quite sure what you are asking. If you want to proofread at Dutch Wikisource, you should create an index page at nl:Index:Peregrinaggio di tre giovani figliuoli del re di Serendippo.djvu and them proceed as you did here. @Inductiveload - Thanks for your reply. Essentially, this is a parallel translation to the previous English one, I'll follow your link and see how far I get. I'm hoping to start with the original Italian manuscript on Wikisource with blank pages on the left. The translation needs to be uploaded first before proofreading can start. @Inductiveload - following your advice, I've created an index page, transcluded it, page by page, with the Dutch translation of the Italian original, and completed the proofreading. See: https://nl.wikisource.org/wiki/Index:Peregrinaggio_di_tre_giovani_figliuoli_del_re_di_Serendippo.djvu - I presume that the next step is to get it to the level where validation can occur. Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to get back to your guidance when we did this with the English translation: https://en.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=Translation:The_Three_Princes_of_Serendip. I suggest we use for the Dutch translation: 'De_Drie_Prinsen_van_Seredip' (+https://etc). Please, advise how to move forward. Have a nice weekendMvRwiki1944 (talk) 21:49, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know exactly how nlWS do their translations, so you're probably best off asking at their equivalent to the Scriptorium. But, assuming they do it similarly to us, you should now transclude the proofread Page content to a presentation namespace (at enWS, this is Translation).
