Don't fret

We are not the other place, and pride ourselves on making our judgments of people based on their actions and behaviours here. We also see ourselves as a refuge for the discontent at that place, and do harbour a number who have lost popularity.<shrug> So enjoy here, look to be find a niche, and not worry about the other. While you have concerns, knowing the people here, I don't think that they are fully warranted. For most people here, if they were any more laid back, they would fall over. I don’t have my email turned on because it gives the name my outed name. Now I know I cannot be too careful here and cannot trust. I don’t know how to use IRC. I use google chat. I am sorry that the editor felt he had to out me, and I am still fearful of him, as he can follow me here and do it again. I don’t know what he has against me. If I continue to edit I will avoid all projects and pages he edits, and hopefully he will refrain from further outings of me. Another editor (talk) 11:10, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

To me it looks like a misunderstanding, as I don't think that there has been any deliberate malevolent action. You should do whatever you believe is right for you, though I don't see that people are bringing any prejudices to bear. — billinghurst sDrewth 11:44, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.

Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Waterview. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Waterview~enwikisource that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.

Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
