Tasks

This pages lists common maintenance tasks that need to be done. These are grouped by type, which can be selected by clicking on the links in the sidebar below. Each entry has a link to the maintenance category, a count of its contents, some guidelines and a short list of some of the oldest items in that category.

The tasks in this group cover the content of the page, usually in the body of the text itself.

Maintenance type

Easy[edit]

These tasks are relatively straight-forward and should not take too long to complete.

Texts with page numbers‎ (Pages requiring attention: 21)

Directions

Remove the page numbers and breaks (which probably come from un-proofread OCR text). If the OCR errors are too frequent, this might require deletion.

Directions

Correct the OCR errors, with reference to a source text. If the OCR errors are too frequent or there is no source available, this might require deletion.

When <ref> tags are put on a page they need to be specifically cited on a page; add {{smallrefs}}, or a similar template, to the bottom of the page, above the licence template and categories.

There is a large range of possible problems so the time and effort necessary to fix these pages will vary from page to page.
