When the bell rings for the Angelus, at morning, noon and evening, pray as follows :

The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary, And she conceived of the Holy Ghost.

Hail Mary, etc.

Behold the handmaid of the Lord May it be done unto me according to thy word Hail Mary, etc.

And the Word was made flesh, And dwelt among us.

Hail Mary, etc.

PRAYER.

Pour forth, we beseech Thee, Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, has been made known by the message of an angel, may, by His passion and cross, be brought to the glory of His resurrection, through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Whoever says the Angelus daily for a whole month and goes to confession and communion, in the course of the same month, gains a plenary indulgence. — Benedict XIII.

Before meals, say :

Bless us, Lord, and these Thy gifts which we are about to receive from Thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
