The inhabitants of these islands believe in one God, in the unlimited extent of his government in the most important moral distinctions, and religious duties as taught by the light of nature, in the immortality of the soul, and in future rewards and punishments. They have very few forms of religion, little ceremony in their worship and no houses or temples devoted to this purpose.
